Aspiring to be a case study for enhancing vitality, economic health and environmental stewardship Chalet Blanc is a proposed mixed-use expansion project located in Tahoe City’s town center. Completed in 1971, Chalet Blanc is a swanky example of Tahoe City’s unique mountain kitsch vernacular. The proposed expansion hopes to include thirty achievable workforce housing rental units above a restaurant space and gallery / studio and occasional lecture hall /event space.
